Charles Saatchi: Question
Advertising magnet Charles Saatchi isn’t one for interviews, therefore he prefers to write books instead to give others a piece of his brilliant mind. With the follow up to “My name is Charles Saatchi and I am an Artaholic“, comes “ Charles Saatchi: Question.” This new edition to the advertising mogul’s growing list of publications answers alot of questions as the title states. Some of the questions quoted by publisher Phaidon are as follows: “How can I raise £5000 in a hurry? How do you sleep at night? Is it better to give than to receive? What’s the secret of inner peace? In this new volume influential art collector Charles Saatchi provides the answers to these, and over 100 more, fresh questions.”

Are FCUK’s new ads Innovative?
Fashion label French Connection recently revamped their image for their current campaign. It depicts the average man and woman and not the usual super clean looking models. They also are going the nontraditional route with adding the simple slogans… not normally seen in fashion ads. We have to ask do you relate more to “realistic” looking model driven campaigns as opposed to those by the “uber-polished barbie/ken doll” type?

Calvin Klein x “X” Men’s Underwear
The uber creatives at Baron & Baron and Calvin Klein are definitely on a roll tapping today’s hottest stars to front their campaigns. Here is the first installment of their new “X” underwear line with actors Kellan Lutz and Mehcad Brooks as well as athletes Hidetoshi Nakata and Fernando Verdasco. The campaign officially launches on March 1st and is said to include ads with 3D effects. Did they make a good selection? What do you think? Enjoy!

A Magazine x Riccardo Tisci
Earlier last year Givenchy creative director Riccardo Tisci curated an issue of the fashion forward A magazine. Below is a video preview of that issue. One of the main reasons we are posting this older material is to use as an example. We here at CO feel that with the birthing of Apple Ipads and similar e-reader products, we should be able to see instant full previews of magazines before we purchase a digital issue, since we no longer have the luxury of time to go to newsstands and flip through them manually (LOL)… afterall, some fashion magazines are upwards of $50. This way we can see the content but not be able to read it, therefore the magazines will still have a selling point. Enjoy!
